The easiest way to remember it

Grant work in three clear steps.

Think of it like a school project: choose the right assignment, build it carefully, then check and turn it in.

  1. Community organizers comparing opportunity cards and a calendar in a library.

    Find it

Find a possible grant, read the real rules, and see if it fits your team.

    • Search trusted sources
    • Check who can apply
    • Save the official deadline
  2. A community team organizing evidence, a budget chart and a proposal binder.

    Build it

Gather facts, make a plan, and write a clear story with proof.

    • Organize the research
    • Write one part at a time
    • Match the story and budget
  3. A team reviewing milestones and choosing its next project step together.

    Finish it

Check every part, get human approval, and track what happens next.

    • Review it as a team
    • Keep the final choice human
    • Track results and reports
